ENERGYCHAMBER.ORG — Simbi Wabote has been appointed to the Advisory Board of the African Energy Chamber (AEC), joining two other distinguished leaders—Benoit de la Fouchadiere and John Ngunjiri—in strengthening the Chamber’s strategic committees. Wabote, former Executive Secretary of Nigeria’s NCDMB, now serves on the Local Content Committee, where his deep expertise in indigenous participation, financing, and policy implementation will play a pivotal role in advancing Africa’s local content agenda.
His appointment reflects a broader push by the AEC to align public and private stakeholders with initiatives that empower local businesses and talent across the continent’s energy sector. Alongside Fouchadiere, who joins the Exploration and Upstream Committee, and Ngunjiri, who contributes to Legal and Regulatory Affairs, Wabote will help guide investment, policy, and development efforts to address energy poverty and foster sustainable growth across Africa.
